If you do not know her name, you definitely know her work.

Ronald Bunn traces her path from a Harlem boutique in 1968, through the fine jewelry trade shows, to the growth of her business from her home into a Manhattan manufacturing space. He describes her style as “straight forward, sculptural and modern,” notes that her work is held in the Smithsonian’s design archives and appears in several books, and credits her as a pioneer in tele-retailing in the 1990s, the first designer to sell 14K gold jewelry on the television shopping networks.
